Water Heater Types and Brands

There are four basic types of water heaters, the storage tank model, the tankless model, the hybrid, and the solar water tank model. Conventional water heaters heat your water and then save it all up in a tank and wait for you to use it. This seems pretty convenient. The traditional water tank, whether it is electric or gas, the hot water is stored in a tank, 40 gallon, 50 gallon or some other sizeHaving a continuous supply of hot water is a luxury that a lot of us cannot imagine to live without. It has gained its popularity over the years due to the fact that it works really well compared to an ordinary heater.

Each one of these different water tanks provide hot water to your home, but looking at how they work and cost will be the best way for choosing a water tank.Typically the owner/user of the particular container system sets the preferred temperature of the water through usage of a thermostat and the water heater warms up the water to the set temperature, as soon as the water hits the temperature the element turns off. After time, the water cools and must be re-heated. Not only is this a waste of energy, but it's a waste of your money! Knowing the types of heaters available in the market today will help you choose the best water heater that's right for you. Just about all of the water heaters mentioned above use electrical power to power the element which in turn warms up the water, but yet there are additional types of water heater out there.

With the tankless water heater there is no sizeable tank to speak of, so it isn't constantly re-heating water. You should know that there are two types of Tankless furnaces, namely electric Tankless heater and Tankless gas heater. The hybrid is another type of water heater, these combine a tank with a heat pump which works with the hot air around the pump to heat your water. A Tankless heater can also be classified by the type of installation. Gas for example is actually your next most important, gas heaters work in much the same way as the electric heaters except they utilize natural gas supplied through your own gas company for you to heat the water.
